Why are male gamers SO horrible to female gamers?

Like really really horrible. "Joking" about raping and murdering them, calling them ever slur they can think of, and harassing them when they're just trying to have fun and play a game. Why do I have to keep my Mike off just so I dont have a guy beg to see my tits.

And it's not just a fraction of them. You're almost guaranteed that kind of experience.

Also, why dont their friends tell them to stop? Why dont they hold their friends accountable?
