PSA to invaders
I do not care how much you spam bow and point while running away. I know what you want, and no, I'm not going to duel you. There is a system for dueling by putting down red summon signs. Do that instead if you want to duel. When you're invading you're getting in the way of progress for people who are likely not set up for PVP. Which is fine, it's a mechanic of the game and I welcome it. But don't be surprised when the host and friends use any means necessary to get rid of you. This is what you signed up for.
EDIT: Holy crap this blew up. Let me take a moment to also say that invaders are not bad people for partaking in a game mechanic. If you play online you get invaded, it's part of the game. If you don't like it your issue is with the game, not the invaders.
I even like invasions being part of the game, the online aspects of this game and community interaction really bring it to life and lead to some of its most memorable moments. And imo if you are playing offline to avoid invaders you're missing out.
My entire point is this: duels and invasions are different things. Don't invade when you want to duel. And for the love of God don't summon people in via a duel sign and then treat it like an invasion where anything goes and you gank the duelist. That does make you an asshole.
