I saved all year for my family's Christmas
![]() |
This year was different man. I've been broke for like the past 3 Christmases and could barely afford anything for my family. Started putting away $20-30 whenever I could back in January, skipped eating out most of the year, and even picked up some weekend gig work. Every time I wanted to spend that money on something stupid I reminded myself about Christmas morning. Finally got to see my kids' faces light up when they saw actual presents under the tree instead of just a few dollar store things. The tree might not be the fanciest but it's ours and it's full of love. Worth every sacrifice I made this year. Sometimes being an adult means making tough choices but seeing your family happy makes it all worth it Cheers and merry Christmas to you and yours! [link] [comments] |
